Role profile

As a Content Executive, you’ll be responsible for creating everything from blog content and web copy to creative outreach campaigns alongside our Outreach team. 

 

We need someone who is passionate about finding new and innovative ways to create content for SEO that’s engaging. You’ll be able to combine your natural flair for creative writing with a solid understanding of keyword research to create content that persuades users as much as it does search engines. 

 

You’ll thrive working across a diverse range of clients, adopting unique tone of voice and product knowledge as you switch seamlessly from the likes of giant clothing retailers to specialist insurance brokers.

 

While words will be your forte, you’ll be able to dig into data to deliver the results our clients expect from our content. You’ll know how to turn stats into a story, and how to use your words to increase traffic to our clients’ websites.

Core responsibilities

As the newest member of our Content team, you will:

 

  • Contribute towards developing long-term content strategies for our clients
  • Produce high-quality content that meets our client’s standards
  • Create content specifically for e-commerce web pages to optimise them for search engines
  • Collaborate with the Outreach team to research, plan and deliver creative content for link-building campaigns
  • Create editorial calendars for blogs and content marketing campaigns
  • Conduct keyword research for onsite copy
  • Work alongside designers to create visually-led content, such as infographics and guides
  • Prepare for and participate in creative idea sessions
  • Collaborate with other teams on content strategy and content production tasks
  • Work proactively with the rest of the Content team to improve our processes and the quality of our services
  • Conduct content audits of client websites and make recommendations for improving the content
  • Track and report on content performance using tools like Google Analytics, ahrefs, and BuzzSumo
  • Present ideas and results to clients with confidence and clarity

 

Skills and experience

Required

 

  • Must have held a Content Executive or Copywriter role for at least 12 months
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher: English or equivalent professional qualifications or experience
  • Experience working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrable copywriting and proofreading experience
  • Experience in working on multiple clients/projects at the same time
  • A sound understanding of best practice in copywriting, content marketing and SEO
  • Experience in using Google Drive tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides) as well as Microsoft Office
  • Experience in using CMS systems such as WordPress and Umbraco
  • Impeccable grammar

 Desirable

 

  • Experience in using Google Analytics
  • Experience in using content/PR platforms such as BuzzSumo, ResponseSource, BuzzStream
  • Experience with social scheduling on platforms like Hootsuite and Sprout Social
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Experience in creating visually-led content
  • A detailed understanding of modern SEO strategy
  • HTML or CMS experience to an intermediate level
  • Experience using Google Surveys
  • Experience using spreadsheets to filter and analyse data for research
  • Experience producing reports for clients/stakeholders
