Job description

 

The role

 

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our organic search team. The successful candidate will have experience working across multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment; Bring Digital’s client base varies across size and sector, so we’re looking for a candidate who is flexible in their approach and skillset.

 

Reporting into the Head of SEO, the successful candidate will support the Technical SEO and Content Marketing teams. Using thorough competitor, market and situation analysis, you’ll provide a clear strategy for each client with coherent briefs for each project within that strategy.

Skills required

 

You will require strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with the account management team to keep your clients up-to-date with campaign progress and results. The ideal candidate will thrive when building client relationships and constantly be looking for opportunities to improve client satisfaction through exceptional campaign performance.

  • 2 years of SEO experience (in-house or agency)
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Search Console
  • Experience using a variety of SEO tools (our suite includes Moz, SEMrush, Searchmetrics, Majestic, Ahrefs, Sitebulb, Accuranker and others)
  • An understanding of how page content quality and depth impacts rankings – displaying experience of boosting rankings by improving landing page quality would be advantageous
  • An understanding of other strategic SEO elements, including pruning under-performing content, internal linking strategies, and crafting an SEO-driven content strategy
  • An understanding of local SEO strategies and experience of implementing them
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present information to stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong awareness of how SEO impacts commercial goals
  • Well-organised and methodical
  • A passion for self-development and learning

 

Core responsibilities

 

The successful candidate will be hands-on in the delivery of elements of these strategies, with duties including comprehensive keyword research, on-page optimisation, performance analysis and testing. This is not an exhaustive list and, as with any SEO role, having the flexibility to work in different areas is crucial.

 

Note that although this is not a technical SEO role, a working knowledge of tech SEO principles will be advantageous.

 

  • Creating, communicating and assisting with the execution of client SEO strategies
  • Working with the content marketing team to create commercially-impactful, SEO-driven content strategies
  • Working with the content, CRO, design and development teams to improve the quality and depth of content on key landing pages to improve SEO performance
  • Analysing performance using a range of tools and using this insight to inform changes to strategy
  • Providing consultancy directly to clients’ in-house teams to guide their activity for the improvement of SEO performance
  • Assisting with new business pitches by providing top-level strategic input and presenting to potential clients
  • Competitor, SERP, search market and client situation analysis
  • Keyword research and optimisation of meta data and on-page content
  • Link analysis, strategy and disavow activity
  • Communicating strategies and results internally and with clients
